A U.S. super star singer Kate Laurence (Laura Branigan) comes to Australia to prove herself as a dramatic actress. But the prejudice, mistrust and jealousy of her fellow actors makes the task hugely difficult. The scathing critical comment from one leading writer is also pushing Kate towards total failure.

The brutal wit and savage reviews of critic Robert Landau (Michael Aitkens) are slowly turning to admiration – and more. Perhaps the goblet of red wine thrown in his face or their late night swim in a city centre fountain helped.

Starring Laura Branigan, Michael Atkens and Noel Ferrier.
Director: Jonathan Hardy
Music composed by: Bruce Rowland
Screenplay: Jonathan Hardy, Frank Howson
